Fixing things around yourself
Fixing things around me has always been one of my favorite things to do as my mom has inculcated strong manners in me related to organizing things and cleanliness.
I was doing this PW 2 and I went through this activity, I thought of doing it right away. At that time, I was in my bedroom, the place where I spend most time of my day or perhaps all time of the day (my mum says as I am always busy doing my assignments, projects on laptop).
My cousins and my sister were on a stay at our home and everything was disorganized so I thought why not doing this activity now.
The room looked like this.
Ok so I got up, looked around, everything was messy, nothing was on its right place, clicked a picture, started with removing all extra items from bed and put them all in their right place, shifted all my books to study room, fixed bedsheet, folded quilt, nicely placed it on my bed and last but not the least mopped the floor.
After fixing everything, my room turned out to be like this.
Though I keep doing it on my daily basis but doing this assigned task gave me immense satisfaction and feeling of being organized. If I hadn’t been assigned to do it, I would have definitely done it as part of my routine but in the evening after finishing all my assignments and tasks.
This activity made me understand that we always think about becoming the leader in any firm and think about having a position to exercise power and authority, changing the whole world but we forget that leadership starts with us, leadership starts with our surroundings, we don’t need a position or title to be a leader every time. We can still be a leader and have an impact on our surroundings, like fixing things which I did here and this every leadership can be practiced daily to influence those around us because sometimes things and acts look small to us but they can leave an impact for lifetime.
